The Food Bank of Central Louisiana distributes food and grocery products to needy families through a network of approved charitable agencies in eleven parishes:

Allen, Avoyelles, Catahoula, Concordia, Grant, LaSalle, Natchitoches, Rapides, Sabine, Vernon and Winn.

Last year, we distributed nearly seven million pounds of food and groceries to soup kitchens, emergency pantries, homeless shelters, rehab programs, senior meal programs and shelters for battered women and their children.

With the money these agencies save by getting food and other groceries at the Food Bank, they are able to expand the programs and services they provide to their clients.

These charitable agencies are staffed by an amazing group of men and women who work very hard trying to make sure that no one has to go without food while they are coping with a host of other difficulties.

Along with the food that we provide to these agencies, we also hold workshops on topics like safe food handling and other issues that may effect their clients.
